Meet The Team
ScienceTeX is a mission that was spearheaded by two high schoolers who wanted to introduce something that they wished they had: a way to learn advanced science at a young age. That's right, no fluff, no overstatements, nothing. We wanted to provide an opportunity for kids to be able to learn advanced science at an accelerated pace. As society is hurtling towards a future where science is becoming increasingly important, it's imperative that the education of science can be revolutionized at the earliest ages.
Aadavan Elangovan- Founder and Core Instructor
Aadavan Elangovan is currently a Junior at Collierville High School. After winning over 10+ Science Olympiad medals through middle school and high school (Including multiple podium finishes at TN state), and becoming a national semifinalist in the prestigious United States Biology Olympiad and qualifying for the finalist round, Aadavan hopes to use his knowledge of the sciences to help young kids learn science that is high level easily. He has been part of and is a member of multiple robotics teams over 4 years, and has coached young robotics teams. He plans to pursue a field in Medicine after High School.
Shiven Sasipalli- Founder and Core Instructor
Shiven Sasipalli is a junior at Collierville High School who has loved science his whole life. He came 9th in the West Tennessee region for the TMTA Algebra II competition, a competition of the top high schoolers across all of Tennessee. He also placed "Highly Commended" in the prestigious British Biology Olympiad. He wants to use his skills in science and math to help young students understand advanced science early on, so that they can learn greater things, and discover more about the world.
Amrutha Kosanam- Instructor and Board
As a junior at Collierville High School, Amrutha Kosanam has been tutoring children in her community for many years. She is a part of her school’s debate team and has been an avid debater since the seventh grade. Amrutha has taken a special interest to science since middle school, plans to go into the research field, and hopes to later become a science professor. Through ScienceTeX, she hopes to help young students understand the exciting world of science.
Ashwin Srinivasan- Instructor and Board
With experience in programming and a background in automotive mechanics, Ashwin Srinivasan -- a junior at Collierville High School -- dedicates himself to the exploration of science. A current employee of Kumon North America (3+ years), Ashwin is no stranger to instructing, having assisted numerous children age 7-17 with concepts in mathematics and reading comprehension. Ashwin spends his leisure with friends on the tennis court or soccer pitch; however, he may be spotted on backroads riding his KTM.
Sharvika Natra- Instructor and Board
Sharvika Natra is a junior at Collierville High School. She is a member of the Science Olympiad and the Knowledge Bowl team. She is a well-rounded science enthusiast who has a passion for teaching kids to help them gain a new perspective on education in a unique environment. With deep experience in teaching kids, Sharvika is capable and adept with finding easy ways for kids to grasp content.
Sidharth Loganathan- Instructor and Board
Sidharth Loganathan is currently a junior at Collierville High School. He is a member of the Knowledge Bowl team and has been doing Knowledge bowl since the 8th grade, where he led his team to the finals at the National Junior Beta Convention. Sidharth has a passion for science and has tutored kids since middle school through Junior Beta. Using his experience in teaching and knowledge of science, Sidharth hopes to be able to teach kids new concepts and skills that will allow them to look at their world in a new light.
