We are glad to announce our first competition; The British Biology Challenge hosted by ScienceTeX!
What Is This?
UKBC is an British based organization that facilitates three competitions each year to students in secondary school for the advancement of Biology education. They host competitions for three levels of students, all the way up to 12th graders. They are a internationally renowned organization with years of experience hosting competitions that serve a lot of value for pupils in school.
Why Should My Child Enter?
First of all, this is free of charge, and hosted by ScienceTeX, and proctored online by us. That being said, these are internationally known competitions that serve quite a bit of value to your student, and with your student potentially being enrolled in our classes already, ScienceTeX allows them to get a leg up in doing well in this competition, and the awards are very prestigious, and show your child's Science prowess. Unlike many other competitions, this is a real official competition, and is backed by a renowned organization; UKBC, so there is reason to enter and for your child to do their very best.
How Do I Enter?
Since ScienceTeX is hosting this, part of the registration process for your child to be entered into our database is to follow the regular ScienceTeX registration form even if they don't participate in the classes. This will grant them a spot in the competition and also grant them access to our Asynchronous ScienceTeX SuperPortal, where they can find materials that help them prepare for this competition to do their very best, free of charge.
By also registering for ScienceTeX, your child will have the privilege of also securing a seat in our next batch which is slated to begin in July 2021.
When Is This?
This competition will be offered by us and proctored virtually with multiple dates as an option during May 1-26. We will soon release details on the specific day, time, and Zoom link of the competitions, and potentially any choices that you can make on that part.
Prizes?
Depending on the performance of your child, they will receive certificates and potentially medals issued by both ScienceTeX and UKBC. We will update this as we get more details.
